Effective November 1, 2013, there is a new Practice Direction for all proceedings in the Superior Court of Justice (Family Division) at 393 University Avenue.
This new practice direction replaces the provisions in the Court-Wide Practice Directions, but it supplements the existing Practice Directions relating to Dispute Resolution Officers and Often Cited Family Cases.
This new practice direction sets out (and clarifies) the correct procedures for:

The new Practice Direction is available on the Superior Court of Justice website (www.ontariocourts.ca) in the Practice and Procedure section. A hard copy of the Practice Direction will be provided to counsel and self-represented persons upon the issuance of all originating process in the Family Division.
The new Practice Direction MUST be read by all those having cases in this Court given there may be serious consequences for not following the Practice Direction (including costs sanctions).
