All practising lawyers, judges, articling and law students are encouraged to join the CBA-OBA. Your branch is determined by your residence. In this case you will belong to Ontario branch of the Canadian Bar Association.

The OBA is a leading edge continuing professional development provider, and an invaluable resource to lawyers who wish to become the finest in their areas of practice.

Section programs run from September to August each year. Sections should be renewed between July 1st and September 30th. 

There is an annual membership fee based on which category you belong; Lawyers practising in Ontario, non-lawyers, articling and law students.
