As the real estate bar is aware, our Authorization to Submit Documents for Registration in the Electronic Land Registration System is set to expire. Ministry of Government Services - Services Ontario Bulletin No. 2013-01 dated January 22, 2013 sets out the requirements for the renewals.
Account Holders with an expiry date between January 1, 2013 - November 30, 2013 are required to renew the application with the Director of Land Registration by no later than November 30, 2013. If your authorization expires beyond the November 30, 2013 date, the application can be renewed prior to the expiry date. All applications ought to be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior the expiry date in order to avoid disruption to service.
Depending on your status (i.e. sole practitioner, regulated firms, etc.) a different form is to be completed,
You can submit the completed form, along with a notarial copy of your photo identification via mail or email as set out in the form.
There is no fee for the renewal and renewals are good for five (5) years.
