In a recent Canadian Press article on new Attorney General Yasir Naqvi’s intent to modernize the justice system, OBA President David Sterns is quoted on the use of technology in the courts.

In accordance with the OBA By-law, all members are hereby advised that the OBA annual meeting is scheduled to take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 7 p.m.

The OBA congratulates the Honourable Michael G. March on his recent appointment to the Ontario Court of Justice.

The OBA welcomes the 2016-2017 Constitutional Civil Liberties, Human Rights Law Section Executive. The new executive takes over in August 15th, 2016. The Constitutional Civil Liberties, Human Rights Law executive is responsible for facilitating learning, advocacy and networking on behalf of the Constitutional Civil Liberties, Human Rights Law section.

The Superior Court of Justice has established a publication ban notification system, which can be accessed through the Court’s website.

The Ontario Bar Association extends its congratulations to Paul Schabas on being elected as the new Treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
