That is why the OBA offers members and partner firms guidance and tools through its Innovator in Residence program.

The Ontario Bar Association (OBA), a branch of the Canadian Bar Association and Ontario’s largest most diverse network of lawyers, is moving forward with an ambitious and achievable agenda to tackle inequality in the justice sector and beyond over the next 10 years.

The Ministry of the Attorney General and Infrastructure Ontario have released the Winter 2022 Issue of the New Toronto Courthouse Newsletter. 

The Attorney General has filed an amending regulation to O. Reg. 563/20 -  Contingency Fee Agreements made under the Solicitors Act. These changes come into force on January 1, 2022 and are intended to provide clarity and flexibility for lawyers serving clients with contingency fee agreements.

On December 8, 2021, Tribunals Ontario launched its new case management system: the Tribunals Ontario Portal.

Starting November 25th, 2021, any party set to appear before a constituent tribunal, can make a request for access to the terminals to participate in their hearing electronically.

An Annual Meeting of the members of the OBA will be held as follows: Friday, December 10, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

This month, the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) and its members will be promoting the importance of wills as they mark Make A Will Month with free virtual legal information sessions in every region of the province.
