The Ontario Bar Association, Family Law Section (the “Section”) wishes to congratulate the Action Committee on Access to Justice in Civil and Family Matters (the "Committee") on the excellent work on the Beyond Wise Words Report (the "Report") dated December 19, 2012.

The issues raised in the WSIB’s consultation on modernization of the appeals system are vital to the members of the Section.

This submission is made by the Business Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association (the “OBA”) in response to the request for comments published on July 29, 2011 (the “Request for Comments”) with respect to the Proposed Instrument.

The Ontario Bar Association (“OBA”) appreciates the invitation to consult on the proposed changes to the Rules of Professional Conduct. We are pleased with the work that has been done to address the issues raised by the Canadian Bar Association (“CBA”) on the Federation of Law Societies’ Model Code of Professional Conduct.
