On January 26th & January 27th, the OBA ‘s Women Lawyers Forum, in collaboration with the Global Lawyers of Canada (Ontario Chapter), hosted its speed mentoring. Over the two-day event, law students, licensing candidates, and new lawyers had an opportunity to speak with senior legal professionals regarding their practice areas, careers, and overall development, allowing participants to hear some valuable insight – particularly in light of the current global pandemic.
The virtual event was co-chaired by Rachel Sachs and Sam Gebrael, who welcomed a group of high-caliber mentors who volunteered to share their insights and experiences. Rachel spoke about the 2021 OBA WLF Mentorship Week and the purpose of the event. Sam provided information about Global Lawyers of Canada and the networking opportunities available through the association. On both days, the co-chairs introduced the following mentors:
