Tell us about yourself.
After articling at a large firm in Atlantic Canada, I moved to Toronto in 2010 and started my career at McCague Borlack LLP. In late 2011, I moved to a smaller insurance defence firm, Moodie Mair Walker LLP, where I spent the next eight years doing civil litigation with a focus on defence of claims under commercial general liability policies. In March 2019 I made the decision to leave private practice and started my current role as claims counsel at LawPRO. I have three boys under the age of seven who keep me very busy outside of work.
Why did you join the WLF Executive?
I have always been very impressed with the quality of programs put on by the Women Lawyers Forum. I wanted to join the executive to give back to a group that I have benefitted from in my career.
