Tell us about yourself. My practice is focused on Estate Litigation, Power of Attorney Disputes, and Family Law as it relates to Estates or Power of Attorney matters.
I began practising law in 2007 as an associate with a Toronto-based litigation boutique. I later moved my practice to the Durham region, where I now am the co-owner of an all-female law firm that practices exclusively in the areas of Estate Litigation and Family Law.
Why did you join the WLF executive? I think that women’s issues continue to be very important in all aspects of life. Not just for women, but for men too. Current events remind us every day that the fight for equality is an ongoing battle, and at times we take two steps forward only to take one back. In the legal field, there are still significant inequalities and a general lack of support for female lawyers. It is important for me to be part of the solution.
