On October 5th, the OBA Insurance Law Section proudly presented the OBA Award for Excellence in Insurance Law to Deborah Berlach and Barbara Legate. Surrounded by family, colleagues and friends it was a celebratory evening at the OBA Conference Centre honouring two very distinguished women in the profession.

On May 15th, 2019, the OBA Insurance Law Section proudly presented the OBA Award for Excellence in Insurance Law to Mark Lerner and Glenn Smith. The event was held at the OMNI King Edward Hotel.

On May 29, 2018, the OBA Insurance Law Section proudly presented its 13th Annual Award for Excellence in Insurance Law to C. Kirk Boggs of Lerners LLP, as friends, family and colleagues gathered in celebration at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Hotel.

On June 21, 2017 the OBA Award of Excellence in Insurance Law was proudly presented to Donald H. Rogers of Rogers Partners LPP at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott celebrating Donald’s contributions to the profession.

On May 31, 2016 the OBA Award of Excellence was proudly presented to John McLeish of McLeish Orlando LPP at the Toronto Eaton Centre Marriott celebrating John’s contributions to the Insurance Bar”

On May 12th, 2016 the OBA Insurance Law Section proudly presented the 11th Annual OBA Award of Excellence in Insurance Law to Wilfrid Menninga of Templeman Menninga LLP. The lively event was held at the Cataraqui Gold & Country Club in Kingston, Ontario and featured warm remarks from keynote speaker The Honourable Brian Abrams.

Owen Smith, Q.C., Posthumously, Smith McBride Ducharme, was honoured at a dinner reception on Thursday, June 25th, at TownePlace Suites in Sudbury.

Alfred Kwinter was honoured at a dinner on June 9th, 2015 at the Arcadian Loft (401 Bay St., Toronto), featuring guest speaker The Honourable Madam Justice Darla A. Wilson.

Mary Margaret Fox was joined by many friends, colleagues and family members on Thursday, May 29, 2014, in Toronto, where she was awarded the OBA Award For Excellence In Insurance Law.
