His Majesty King Charles III acceded to the Throne on September 8, 2022, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Provincial Government Consumer Protection Modernization: NOSIs April 27, 2023 Modernization of the Consumer Protection Act should include amendments to the PPSA to ensure consistency and alignment, and avoid the exploitation of potential loopholes.
Other Presumptive Mode of Proceedings: OBA Submission in response to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice’s Guidelines to Determine the Mode of Proceeding April 21, 2023 The Ontario SCJ asked the OBA for input into its Guidelines to Determine the Mode of Proceeding in Civil, Family, Criminal and Small Claims Court. Per the Ontario NDP constitution, the party is scheduled to hold a confirmation vote on March 4.
