The Law Society of Ontario is looking for the input of Ontario real estate lawyers on the definition of "finance company" and "lending client" to clarify subrule 3.4(14), (15) and (16) of the Rules of Professional Conduct so that we can all avoid conflicts of interest when we are dealing with mortgage lenders.
