On March 13, 2019, the Competition Bureau published the final version of its revised Intellectual Property Enforcement Guidelines. The purpose of the Guidelines is to provide clarification on the Bureau’s approach to conducting investigations of alleged anti-competitive activities involving intellectual property.
The update follows an extensive public consultation process, held in 2018. Prior to this process, the last significant update to the Guidelines was March 31, 2016.
