On April 20th, the Ontario Bar Association was proud to host our annual Awards Gala to celebrate the achievements of some of Ontario’s brightest legal stars! Excitement and camaraderie were definitely in the air at this sold-out event, as our esteemed presenters celebrated this year’s outstanding recipients.

Thursday, April 14th 2016 students, their families and teachers along with OBA members celebrated Law Day by honouring the award recipients during a reception held at the Ontario Bar Association.

OBA President Ed Upeniek’s continues his tour of Ontario’s law school with a stop in Toronto. Students from U of T Law School, Osgoode Law School and Ryerson’s LPP program received valuable insights into the profession while getting the opportunity to mix and mingle with fellow students and OBA Members.

On November 19, the OBA Labour and Employment Law Section hosted the Honourable Kevin Flynn for its annual 'Evening with the Minister of Labour' event.

On October 28th, 2015, the OBA's Alternative Dispute Resolution Section honoured Harvey Kirsh of Glaholt LLP with the OBA Award of Excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

On September 24th, 2015 advocates and adjudicators met to celebrate honoured award recipient Mark Zigler of Koskie Minsky LLP as he receives the OBA Pensions and Benefits Award. The exciting evening at Stratus restaurant featured a toast by The Honourable Madam Justice Eileen E. Gillese, and a tribute from Ari N. Kaplan.
