Dear Members,
The Civil Litigation Section Executive would like to welcome your submissions for publication either in the Section newsletter (scheduled to be released in January 2025) or on the Section’s website. This is a great opportunity, including for junior members, to build profile and discuss matters of interest with your colleagues at the bar.
Submissions for the newsletter should relate to the theme “big litigation and what litigators do to avoid burnout”. Do you have strategies for managing stress and staying organized leading up to a big hearing? Are there practices you’ve seen implemented at your workplace that help you feel supported? Do you have lessons learned from big wins or big losses? Your fellow members would love to hear from you. For publication in the newsletter, we welcome submissions until December 31, 2024.
Submissions for publication on the Section’s website can relate to any topic of general interest to the civil litigation bar – e.g., an important case law development addressing a point of civil procedure. These submissions are published on a rolling basis and are welcome at any time.
Please note that publication of submissions is at the Executive’s discretion, and not all submissions received are guaranteed to be published. If you plan to make a submission or would like to learn more, please contact the Section’s Newsletter Editors, Stefan Case (scase@torys.com) and Saba Ahmad (saba@sabaahmad.com).
We look forward to hearing from you.
