Primary Area(s) of Immigration Practice: I practice both individual and corporate immigration law and lead Green and Spiegel LLP’s Compliance and Inspections practice.
Brief Biography: I began working in the field of immigration as a law student and have exclusively worked in this area since my Call to the Bar in 2012. I have extensive experience assisting corporations with their immigration needs, working on all types of work permit applications, including NAFTA Investor applications and intra-company transfers as well as economic permanent residence applications. I specialize in work permit and LMIA compliance issues and lead Green and Spiegel LLP’s Compliance and Inspections practice. I represent companies who are facing compliance inspections and assist employers in developing best practices.
I also have significant experience working with individuals on their immigration matters including study permit applications, family class applications, applications for permanent residence on humanitarian and compassionate grounds, and citizenship applications.
In addition to my legal work, I lead Green and Spiegel LLP’s Summer and Articling Student programs.
Motivation for Joining the OBA Executive: I was drawn to the OBA Executive to contribute to the practice of immigration law on a broader level. This includes participating in discussions with government representatives to ensure that our clients’ best interests and needs are heard, as well as working on professional development opportunities and issues facing immigration lawyers.
