Our client, a mid-size law firm in downtown Toronto, is looking to add a Real Estate Associate to its growing team. The role will involve working mainly on Commercial Real Estate matters, with occasional residential work. This is a Hybrid role.
The role will include:
- Structuring and completing complex real estate and land development transactions and all aspects of condominium development.
- Purchases and sales of commercial property (and residential as necessary).
- Financing for borrowers and lenders (both institutional and private lenders).
- Working on developer/builder sales and project-related work (or an interest in learning how to do such work).
You are the ideal candidate if you have/are:
- J.D/LL.B and member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario.
- 2-4 years of Real Estate experience (more experience welcome!)
- Experience in commercial transactions, commercial real estate purchases and sales, and mortgage lending and assignment
- Commercial leasing experience
- Experience in Condominium Development is an asset
- Excellent drafting and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business instinct and acumen
- Ability to handle files independently and as part of a team
- Desire to exceed expectations
- Exceptional time management and project management skills along with an ability to juggle between multiple projects/priorities
