Frenkel Tobin LLP is seeking an associate lawyer with 3 to 10 years of Ontario family law experience to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and develop their practice. The associate will manage their own files with guidance and mentorship from the partners. They will also assist the partners with their matters and work in a collegial team environment.
The associate will be responsible for client communication, preparing for and attending court, preparing for and attending mediations/arbitrations, and all aspects of their practice.
The candidate will:
- Be familiar with relevant statutes and regulations, including the Family Law Act, Children’s Law Reform Act, Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Family Law Rules, and Divorce Act.
- Have excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Of upmost importance to us is that the candidate is passionate in family law, a team player and is willing to put in the time and effort to learn.
We also require someone who is respectful to our clients, staff, opposing lawyers/parties, and anyone else they come into contact within the course of their work.
We require a well-rounded associate, who brings a unique and personal perspective to their practice.
