Karapancev Law is a criminal defence firm located in downtown Toronto, with offices just a short walk from the New Toronto Courthouse. We represent clients throughout Ontario that have been charged with a range of criminal offences. We are looking to add another associate lawyer to our team. Preference will be given to candidates with 1-4 years of work experience in the area of criminal defence. Candidates who have articled in criminal law are also invited to apply.

Responsibilities will include:
- Carriage of files from intake to trial;
- Running bail hearings and trials;
- Assisting with complex files;
- Set date appearances;
- Legal research and memo drafting;
- Drafting factums and preparing applications;
- Disclosure review and trial prep;
- Conducting CPTs and JPTs;
- Attending court and jails;
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of work experience in criminal defence, a law license in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, a driver’s Licence and your own vehicle, a willingness to work outside normal business hours, which may include evenings and weekends based on operational needs.
