Bruder Springstead LLP is seeking an associate lawyer to join our growing practice. Interested candidates should have 2-5 years of litigation experience, in the area of insurance defence and accident benefits.
We are offering a full-time position with the opportunity for remote work.
Job Requirements:
- Prepare, review, and draft legal documents, including pleadings, forms, and correspondence.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Independently handle and assist senior counsel as required with insurance defence files, including tort, accident benefits, priority, subrogation and loss transfer matters.
- Attend court and tribunal hearings.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in civil procedure and insurance law.
- Work within a paperless environment.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in insurance defence litigation, including accident benefits.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and time management skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and legal software programs.
