Personal Injury Lawyer
Affinity Law is a premier full-service law firm dedicated to serving clients across Ontario, specializing in personal injury law and insurance litigation. We are seeking to add a personal injury lawyer with at least 1 to 3 years of experience in personal injury law, who is capable of handling both Tort and Accident Benefit matters at any stage.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
• Provide candid, strategic advice to a diverse range of clients
• Positively engage your team and conduct regular file reviews to effectively plan and manage each case
• Draft a range of documents including facta, opinion letters, settlement conference memoranda, pleadings and various applications
• Conduct legal research
• The opportunity to work on all aspects of a case including liability, financial and medical investigations
• Attend examinations for discovery, case conferences, mediations, IBC and other insurance conferences, motions, appeals, pre-trial conferences, trials, and mediations/arbitrations and other hearings at the LAT, etc.
• Settlement negotiation
• Provide candid, strategic advice to a diverse range of clients and preferably to have a deep understanding of the Southeast Asian cultural dynamics, strong skills and the ability to leverage an existing network of contacts to drive operational goals.
Additional requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Passed the Bar Exam
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.
Salary: Depending upon experience – range $110,000 to $130,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday / 8 hour shift
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
