The Ontario Bar Association congratulates long-time member and former OBA executive Audrey Ramsay for being appointed to the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario on Friday.
Justice Ramsay served on the OBA's board of directors and council, and chaired the OBA's Civil Litigation Section and Insurance Law Section. She is this year's recipient of the OBA Distinguished Service Award. Justice Ramsay has also played a key role in professional development programs for the OBA, and was one of the architects of the association’s very popular Anatomy of a Trial advocacy program.
In 2010, she was awarded the OBA’s Linda Adlam Manning Award for Volunteerism, recognizing her extensive volunteer efforts. Her community work includes her role as chair of NourishHOPE, which helps raise money for the work of the International Justice Mission Canada.
Justice Ramsay was one of eight women appointed on Friday. For more on the appointments, click here.
