The Law Society of Upper Canada’s Professional Development and Competence Committee has released a final report with recommendations on the Pathways Pilot Project. Among the recommendations, the report proposes an extension of the current Pathways Pilot Project for two years.
The committee’s report will be considered at Convocation on November 9, 2016.
With transitional training such an important issue for OBA members, the OBA consulted its membership and made a submission that proposed such recommendations as conducting further examination. A number of issues raised by OBA members are clearly reflected in the committee’s report.
It is the view of the OBA that diversity and inclusion require thoughtful consideration. The OBA will continue to work with its members on issues of transitional training and will continue to contribute to LSUC’s decision-making process.
