When you have delays, justice delayed is justice denied.” On this issue, Upenieks also commented that as important as it is to fill judicial vacancies promptly, it is vital that we have highly qualified appointees that reflect the full diversity of the bar and the communities we serve. A judiciary fully informed by a variety of perspectives gives the public faith that they are being heard and understood.
