Biography

Luciano Aguilera is an associate in the Corporate M&A and Securities Group at Miller Thomson LLP. His practice involves representing domestic and international clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint venture arrangements, financings and other corporate matters. Luciano has represented clients of an array of industries in international cross-border deals involving multiple jurisdictions. Before joining Miller Thomson LLP, Luciano worked as in the business law group of another major law firm in Toronto. Prior to that time, Luciano acted as a Senior Legal Counsel at Scotiabank, where he provided corporate legal advice on all matters related to Latin American and Caribbean countries and markets. Luciano also practiced law for a number of years at a top Chilean law firm, as well as in the Miami office of a top U.S. law firm. Luciano obtained his JD in the University of Diego Portales (Chile), and his LL.M. at Columbia University in the City of New York. Luciano is fluent in Spanish, and is admitted to practice law in the Province of Ontario, the State of New York and Chile.
