Biography
What makes an artist a master of her craft? Inspiration, creativity, and technical mastery developed over years of consistent, devoted practice.
Lex Artia means ‘the legal arts’ or ‘art of law’. With nearly 20 years experience practicing employment, labour, human rights, workplace privacy, and administrative law, Principal Lawyer and Founder Juliana Saxberg founded Lex Artia in 2021 as a vehicle to deliver brilliantly-executed legal services to select individual, business and institutional clients in the private, public, and para-public sectors.
Combining deep technical expertise with a finely-calibrated sensitivity to the human relationships that power Canadian workplaces, we excel at coaxing durable, efficient, satisfying resolutions from the most challenging human rights, employment, and labour relations cases.
Passionate about inclusion and trauma-informed, Lex Artia leverages a generously-resourced toolkit built up over years spent litigating in the trenches on behalf of employers, public interest groups, not-for-profit organizations, and unions.
Our depth of experience empowers our clients to respond decisively to workplace disputes, without sacrificing authenticity or compassion.
Integrity is our North Star. Healing conflicted workplaces is our art. 🕊
