Biography
David leads SorbaraLaw’s Municipal, Land Use & Development Group and is a Certified Specialist in Municipal Law: Land Use Planning and Development.
David works with private and public sector clients in relation to residential, commercial, industrial, and public sector land development. He regularly advises clients on both tactical and strategic aspects of land acquisitions, land use controls, municipal approvals, subdivision and condominium issues, heritage matters, title uncertainties, environmental concerns, and expropriation matters. He has appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board, the Superior Court, and the Divisional Court.
He is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations (Municipal Law and Real Property Law Sections), the Ontario Expropriation Association, the International Right of Way Association, and chairs the Regional and Municipal Affairs Committee of the Greater Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber of Commerce.
