Biography

Peter was called to the Ontario Bar in 2000 after completing his Honours B.A. in Philosophy and Certificate in Criminology from Saint Mary's University and his LLB from Dalhousie University, both in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Peter is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, Collaborative Divorce Toronto and the Toronto Lawyers Association. Peter articled with Hills & Associates starting in July 1998 and later became an Associate early in 2000 and ultimately a Partner with Hills, Salah LLP starting in January 2002 through November 30, 2020. On December 1, 2020 Peter opened his own firm focusing exclusively in Family law. Peter is an experienced advocate and collaborative lawyer, assisting his clients to negotiate, mediate, collaborate and when necessary, to litigate their family law disputes, including custody, access, child support, spousal support, property division, equalization of net family property, exclusive possession of the matrimonial home, trust claims, complex property disputes, restraining orders and motions to vary final orders and separation agreements. Peter also assists his clients in the negotiation and preparation of marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements.
