Biography
Aaron Grinhaus is a business and tax lawyer who advises on corporate and estate structuring, professional practices and commercial transactions, and is an established Fintech consultant who advises on the use of innovative technologies to reduce business costs, support capital raises and expedite cross-border wealth transfer and commercial transactions.
Aaron frequently gives presentations on a variety of business, technology and tax law related topics and has acted as chair, presenter and lecturer through a number of organizations including the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), the Law Society of Ontario and Osgoode Hall Law School of York University, among others. He is also heavily involved in the legal community having served on the Governing Council and several section executive boards of the OBA for over a decade and having served as Director and General Counsel for several not-for-profit and charitable organizations, such as the Mississauga Real Estate Board and the Canadian Association on Gerontology.
Aaron holds law degrees from the University of Ottawa (LL.B.), Michigan State University College of Law (J.D.) and a Masters in Tax Law from Osgoode Hall Law School of York University (LL.M.) and is the author of the textbook: "A Practical Guide to Smart Contracts & Blockchain Law in Canada"(LexisNexis: 2019), the world's first legal textbook on the subject.
