Biography
Paul Jorgensen practises intellectual property law, with a focus on pharmaceutical patent litigation. He has experience in both the liability and remedy phases of patent infringement and impeachment actions. He also has experience with proceedings under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations. Paul has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Federal Court. He clerked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario, where he gained experience in appellate litigation.
Before going to law school, Paul worked as a research scientist. He was a post-doctoral fellow in systems biology at Harvard Medical School. Paul's research was focused on the molecular basis of cancers. His original research has been published in leading scientific journals.
