Biography
As an owner and managing lawyer at the Ross Firm Professional Corporation, I have been afforded the opportunity of participating not only in the practice of law, but the business of law as well. This experience has allowed me a more informed insight when dealing with our business clients.
With respect to my Corporate/Commercial practice, I represent businesses ranging from small to larger multi-million dollar, multi-jurisdictional entities in specialized industries. I handle all aspects of business law from start-up to sale.
My real estate practice consists of both residential and commercial transactions and development. The practice deals with issues of severance, subdivision development and a surprisingly large expropriation component.
My solicitor's practice takes a concierge approach. A business transaction or real property transfer often has implications beyond the instant transaction. Estate planning and administration is also undertaken to ensure the benefits of the transaction don't end the day the deal closes.
With respect to civil litigation matters I have participated in complex multi-jurisdictional cases. I have appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. My role in this area is now more limited to mentorship of junior counsel.
Our goals for the future include, continued growth and expansion of the Ross Firm in our Stratford office and beyond. Finally, we continually focus on excellence in terms of the work product provided to the client and the Courts. This is something which has been the Mission of the Ross Firm and will continue to be our guiding principle into the future.
