Biography

Danielle is a decorated Army Logistics Officer who retired in 2000 after a rewarding career where she played key leadership roles in the evolving business of logistics and supply within the Department of National Defence, in support of its military operations at home and abroad. Upon her retirement, she and her husband – Dr. Jean Corbin – moved their family to Northeastern Ontario and have never looked back. A firm believer that one should never stop learning, Danielle completed her Law degree (Juris Doctor) in 2022 at uOttawa’s French Common Law Program and her articles as a judicial law clerk at the Federal Court. She was called to the Bar in 2023. With her experience in not-for-profit governance, as past Chair of the Board of the North East Local Health Integration Network and Governor of NOSM University, and her time as a member of the Ontario Review Board, Danielle brings a unique perspective and skill set and offers a full range of legal services. Beyond her professional qualifications, Danielle is passionate about the North and making a difference in the lives of Northerners through community activism and her volunteering initiatives. Over the years, she has been involved with STATO, Temiskaming Shores Minor Hockey, the Festival des Folies Franco-Fun and has been a Crisis Responder and Team Lead with Temiskaming & District Victim Services. Her current volunteer efforts center on organizing the ever-popular North on Tap Craft Beer Festival. Danielle also owns and operates a farm and private equestrian training facility in Temiskaming Shores (Northern Ontario). She is happiest when exploring the world, with her husband and three adult children.
