Biography

Archana is a Certified Family Law Specialist with over 25 years of international experience. She has a broad range qualifications to resolve family disputes such as: Family Lawyer, Accredited Family Mediator, Arbitrator, and a Parenting coordinator. She is Harvard trained Negotiator and has conducted numerous Family Law Trials. She is a panel lawyer for Office of the Children's Lawyer ("OCL"). She is a Duty Counsel at Brampton Court. She speaks various Languages: English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, and has working knowledge of Gujarati and Punjabi. She believes in providing culturally appropriate services to clients. She works with various legal clinics and provides pro-Bono legal services for deserving clients. Archana is a public speaker and presenter at legal education workshops for newcomer immigrant and refugees, training the trainers, and speaker at community public events and conferences. She tutors candidates for licensing examinations conducted by the Law Society and is actively engaged in mentoring the Bar at the Law Society's Coach and Advisor Network ("CAN"), supporting new lawyers in implementing best practices and procedural matters. She works as a Second Chair with the Legal Aid Ontario, providing hands-on training to legal aid lawyers to better serve the needs of low-income Ontarians. Archana is a peace-builder, volunteering with an international NGO Mediators Beyond Borders International, an organization building local capacity for peace and promotes mediation worldwide. She participated as a MBBI NGO delegate at the United Nation's Commission on Status of Women at the UN headquarters in New York since 2018. Archana is the author of the book "Domestic Violence in Immigrant Communities: Case Studies". Archana lives in Toronto with her husband, young son and their family puppy, Ellie. She enjoys playing softball as part of Bloordale Ladies Slo-pitch recreational league.
