Biography

My name is Amandeep Dhillon and I am a partner at Kramer Simaan Dhillon LLP, a commercial and civil litigation boutique in Toronto, Ontario.  I am currently a member of the Executive of the Civil Litigation Section for the 2014-2015 section year.

I have a broad commercial/civil litigation practice, which includes shareholder and partnership disputes, oppression matters, defamation, negligence, construction and real estate litigation and civil and commercial fraud. Prior to joining Kramer Simaan Dhillon LLP I was an associate with the predecessor firm and then operated Dhillon Litigation; a litigation boutique focusing extensively on civil and commercial litigation.

I have been a member of the OBA for several years and currently am part of the OBA mentorship program, where I have the opportunity to mentor a young lawyer in my field as he progresses and develops in his career. I would like to expand my involvement with the OBA by serving as a member-at-large in the Civil Litigation Executive. I believe the OBA plays an important role not only as serving as the voice of lawyers in Ontario and representing our interests, but asssiting in our professional and ethical development, through CLE programs and other initiatives. I welcome this opportunity to get more involved in the OBA and to give back to the profession. I believe my experience as a sole practitioner and now as a partner in a firm allows me to bring a diverse perspective to the executive committee, which allow me to address, promote and identify issues that affect those in solo private practice and at firms.
