On October 29, 2015, a sell-out crowd filled the Lamont Learning Centre at Osgoode Hall to attend the CPD program “Women in the Legal Profession: How to be Successful”. This program was jointly held by the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Women’s Law Association of Ontario and was very well-attended both in person and online. It’s easy to see why- it was a very useful and stimulating program.

Job searching is a lot like dating. Dating is a lot like job searching. Mind you, a relationship is not exactly like a job, but there are many similarities. As Simone Samuels writes, most of the principles and lessons from job searching can be applied to one's personal life.

By November, students are probably a few months into articling or the LPP. Looking ahead to the next few months, students may be wondering how to make the most of the experience. Here are some tips (but take this all in stride – see the last tip!).
