OBA member Douglas Judson has received the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) 2015 Edward K. Rowan-Legg Award at the CBA Legal Conference in Calgary. The award recognizes a student member's outstanding contribution to the CBA.

The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) is currently seeking feedback on priorities and recommendations for reform of Ontario's corporate and commercial legislation.

The OBA welcomes the 2015-2016 Construction and Infrastructure Law Section Executive. The new executives assume their roles on August 15th, 2015. The Construction and Infrastructure Law executive is responsible for facilitating learning, advocacy and networking on behalf of the Construction and Infrastructure Law section.

Shaping and influencing policy development and legislation is an important role of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA). It is just one of the ways that the OBA serves its members and ensures they are well supported in their everyday work.

Some of Ontario’s Best and Brightest Lawyers Receive Provincial Awards

The OBA Construction and Infrastructure Law Section is pleased to announce L. Brian Swartz as the winner of this year’s Award of Excellence in Construction and Infrastructure Law.

The OBA Institute 2015 took place February 4-7, 2015 in Toronto and was a tremendous success.

The Accountant of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice is now located on the 8th floor of 595 Bay Street in Toronto. The store front office located on the north side of Dundas Street is now closed, therefore, lawyers need to bring their security and fiats to the 8th floor for processing.

Toronto, ON – OBA Institute kicks off today and is expected to bring more than 1500 of Ontario’s lawyers and judges to Toronto.
