In this edition of the Civil Litigation Section Insider, we feature an interview with The Honourable Doug Downey, Attorney General of Ontario. The Attorney General discusses the efforts at court modernization spurred by the Covid-19 pandemic, and the future of Ontario's Justice System.

Court modernization, as members of the Bar are aware, has changed the way we practice, in ways large and small. Zoom motions and trials are now part of our experience, and working from home has prompted many of our colleagues to reconsider how they work. As a result, there are more practitioners deciding to go out on their own, or start smaller firms with their colleagues.
