Rachel McCallister de Abreu
Biography
Hi there, I am a recent graduate from the University of Windsor and a current articling student with the City of Windsor. I am driven by a desire to leverage my background in education to make meaningful contributions to the legal field. While working towards my JD, I had the privilege to work with Dr. Laverne Jacobs and Professor Maggie Liddle-Kwan as RAs in disability law and legal research and writing. I served as an editor for the Canadian Bar Review and the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues (WRLSI). I was fortunate to later serve as Editor-in-Chief of WRLSI and president of the Old and Wise Law Students of Windsor. I am working to expand my leadership skills and continue advocacy efforts for underserved sectors. As I begin my law career, I seek to explore specializations in various areas of law, such as municipal law, disability law, human rights, immigration law, public health, wills and trusts, and employment advocacy. With a bachelor's degree in both Special and General Education from the University of New Mexico, and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Educational Research from the University of Cambridge, I bring a wealth of perspective and skills including analytical and critical thinking. My prior educational and professional experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set, including effective instruction, leading curriculum development, fundraising, and fostering social and instructional inclusion. I am committed to driving positive change and championing the rights of others through my legal education and future career experiences. Parminder Singh
Biography
Parminder Singh is an internationally trained lawyer with legal experience in India and a growing focus on Canadian legal practice. He is currently completing the accreditation process through the National Committee on Accreditation and pursuing the required licensing examinations to qualify for legal practice in Canada. Parminder brings experience in legal research, drafting, and client-focused legal support, along with a strong commitment to professional integrity and continuous learning. He is actively engaged with the Canadian legal community through the Canadian Bar Association and is dedicated to building a practice grounded in diligence, effective advocacy, and practical legal solutions.
