Allen R. Cramm
Biography
Allen R. Cramm is a fluently bilingual lawyer (French and English), having received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa’s French Common Law Section. Allen is also a Bilingual Employer Specialist for the Office of the Employer Adviser (OEA) - Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. Prior to joining the OEA, Allen was the Workers’ Compensation Specialist for Canada Post Corporation in Ottawa, after having left the practice of civil law for a boutique firm also in Ottawa. Allen has represented hundreds of small to medium-sized employers throughout his career with the OEA, in both unionized and non-unionized environments, at the WSIB Appeals Services Division and Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT). He is also a regular speaker on workplace safety & insurance law issues for several governmental and non-governmental organizations. In 2014, Allen proudly received the “Outstanding Community Health & Safety Leader” award from the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering’s (CSSE) - Eastern Ontario Chapter. Since June 2024, Allen is an Executive Committee Member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section.
Kevin M. Brown
Biography
Kevin is general counsel for the Office of the Worker Adviser. OWA provides free legal services to injured workers, survivors, and workers who have been subjected to reprisals under the OHSA and is an agency of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development. He is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School.
