Michelle Wen Xiao Kang is a lawyer at Yang Wang Law Professional Corporation, specializing in estate planning, litigation, and elder law. Kathleen Robichaud is a sole practitioner practicing in Manotick, Ontario. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School with a specialization in Litigation, Dispute Resolution, and the Administration of Justice. She was a recipient of Osgoode’s Legal and Literary Society’s Graduating Student Award for Exceptional Leadership. Melissa is a lead member of the Teaching Team for the Lawyer as Negotiator course at Osgoode Hall Law School. She serves as a Public Affairs Liaison for the Ontario Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates executive, and is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Wills, Estates, and Trusts executive. She co-chairs the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto’s Young Practitioners Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly. Melissa is also a Coach for the Law Society of Ontario's Coach and Advisor Network, and serves on committees including the Baycrest Foundation’s Professional Advisory Committee, and STEP Toronto’s Membership Committee. Tristen is a Partner at KMB Law in the Business & Estate Succession Group. Tristen has extensive experience in estate planning, including trust planning for high-net-worth clients and for beneficiaries with special needs requiring customized trust plans, as well as complex estate administration, including matters requiring vesting orders, passing of accounts, and multi-jurisdictional estates. In the early part of her legal career, she practiced in general litigation which serves her well when it comes to advising clients on complex estate matters. Tristen received her Juris Doctor from the University of Winsor and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016. When not in the office, Tristen is often gardening, painting with her daughter, or crocheting Pride-coloured blankets.
