Kim Gale is a seasoned advocate with a diverse background, championing her clients' causes across various platforms. Michelle Wen Xiao Kang

Michelle Wen Xiao Kang is a lawyer at Yang Wang Law Professional Corporation, specializing in estate planning, litigation, and elder law. She is a designated Trust & Estate Practitioner (TEP) by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Michelle’s planning practice includes drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney and advising clients on overall succession planning objectives. Her litigation practice include will challenges, dependant’s support claims, powers of attorney challenges, passing of accounts and guardianship applications. Michelle is a native Mandarin speaker and services the community both locally and abroad with her expertise in Ontario estates law. Outside of work, Michelle co-founded a local non-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting traditional arts and music in the community. She also serves on the board of a national non-for-profit organization focused on mental health awareness and elder abuse prevention in immigrant communities, including support for international students and visiting seniors.

Holly focuses on providing her clients with practical solutions to a wide range of estate, trust and capacity issues, helping her clients navigate through emotionally challenging litigation with compassion. As a member of Aird & Berlis LLP's Tax Group and Estates & Trusts Group, Holly represents individuals and trust companies with a range of court proceedings, such as will challenges, applications to pass attorney and trustee accounts, dependent support claims, rectification and interpretation of wills and trusts, variations of trust deeds, power of attorney and capacity disputes, estate and trust administration issues, trustee applications for advice and directions, appointment or removal of trustees/guardians, breaches of trust and guardianships. She is preferred counsel for LawPRO on matters of professional negligence with respect to estate and trust issues. Holly is active in leadership positions: she has sat on the Executive Committee for the Ontario Bar Association’s Elder Law section since 2019, and has previously sat on the Executive Committee of the Trusts & Estates section. Holly is also an accredited Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and is one of 12 global members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) elected to sit on the Mental Capacity Global SIG Steering Committee. Holly routinely appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (including the Estates and Commercial Lists), and has also appeared before the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Pia Hundal is a partner in Dentons’ [Litigation group)], with a practice that focuses on estate and trust litigation, including will challenges, will interpretation, passing of accounts applications, dependent’s support claims, power of attorney disputes, guardianships, trust litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Prior to joining Dentons, Pia practiced family law, estates and civil litigation, focusing on estates and trusts matters. As a result of her experience practicing family law, Pia brings a unique perspective on the impact of family law issues on estates matters. Pia works to resolve disputes in the most cost-effective manner and has a great deal of experience resolving disputes at mediation. She also has extensive litigation experience, including work on major trials and arbitrations, and has made countless appearances in the Superior Court of Justice.
