As the Ontario Bar Association’s 2024-25 Innovator-in-Residence, Colin Lachance spearheads the Real Intelligence on AI initiative, empowering lawyers to integrate AI responsibly into their practices. His work involves developing an AI sandbox tool for hands-on learning, hosting weekly “Office Hours” for real-time discussions, and creating practical educational communications. He is also designing AI Tool Guidelines and organizational policy templates, helping firms of all sizes confidently adopt AI solutions. Through these efforts, Lachance is helping to demystify AI, mitigates its risks, and enables lawyers to deliver high-quality, client-focused legal services.

Mante Malepo - Career Accelerator Program
2022-23 Innovator in Residence
Mante Molepo served as the Ontario Bar Association’s 2022-23 Innovator in Residence, leading a career accelerator program for Indigenous and racialized lawyers. Spanning eight weeks in the summer of 2023, the program provided targeted professional development in four emerging areas of law: artificial intelligence, ESG, fintech, and privacy.
