The Rule of Law

Curated public information sessions for Ontario

As guardians of the justice system worldwide stand united in defending the rule of law against rising threats, Ontario lawyers are taking action at home, rallying leaders in their communities and arming them real-world examples of the rule of law’s relevance in everyday life and practical ways to protect it.

The promise of the rule of law is a message to proliferate, and the OBA’s specially curated public information sessions are aimed at bringing the rule of law out of the abstract and into the actual, making clear its true meaning, its real world impact, the threats it faces and the steps we can take to protect it.

Public Information Sessions Across Ontario

Throughout April, OBA members will deliver presentations to community leaders across the province, illustrating how the rule of law can erode when safeguards such as equality before the law, judicial independence, transparency, and access to justice are weakened.
