Section 48(1)(a) of the Law Society Act gives the Law Society of Ontario authority to revoke a licensee’s licence if the licence has been administratively suspended for more than 12 months.
The administrative revocation process requires that a person appointed by Convocation make an order for revocation. An order for revocation will be made in April 2026. This order will be for the summary revocation of any licence that has been administratively suspended for more than three years and where the licensee has not cured the administrative suspension of their licence.
