Professional Development

The Professional Development Committee shall be a Board Committee of the OBA with responsibility for providing advice and assistance to the Strategic Planning Committee, the OBA Board of DIrectors and Senior Staff on the delivery of a wide range of high-quality, practical, substantive and skills-based continuing professional development programming.  The Committee's responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

  1. ensuring that OBA CPD programming includes professionalism, ethics and practice-management components;
  2. ensuring that access to OBA programs is available throughout Ontario and elsewhere, in the most effective and economical manner possible, consistent with available technology and members' learning requirements;
  3. continually assessing the nature and quality of OBA's CPD programming and recommending any appropriate adjustments or changes.
