The OBA Foundation Awards recognize exceptional contributions to the improvement of the justice system through public legal education, innovative research, or other means.

OBA Foundation Canadian Aboriginal, Environmental and/or Natural Resources Essay Competition
Open to all law students across Ontario, the OBA Foundation essay competition awards a cash scholarship to the top 3 entries which speak to issues in Canadian aboriginal (including indigenous legal traditions), environmental and natural resources law.

The OBA Foundation administers and funds The OBA Foundation Chief Justice of Ontario Fellowships in Legal Ethics and Professionalism.

OBA Foundation Strathy Award
The OBA Foundation Strathy Award recognizes the contribution of an individual or group towards a greater understanding of mental health issues in the justice system and/or the destigmatizing of mental illness, whether through community work, research, teaching, activism, participation in the justice system, or otherwise.
