OBA Announces Election Results Mohsen Seddigh Elected New 2nd Vice-President

March 6, 2026

TORONTO, ON – Following an election that closed yesterday, the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) is pleased to announce that the following individuals have been elected to leadership positions on the OBA Board of Directors for terms beginning September 1, 2026.

  • Mohsen Seddigh, a litigation lawyer and partner at Sotos LLP in Toronto, has been selected as the OBA’s 2nd Vice-President. He will assume the role of OBA President in 2028.
  • Melanie Webb, a criminal lawyer and founder of Webb Barristers, will serve as Treasurer.
  • Antoine Collins, an adjudicator with Refugee Protection Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, will serve as the board’s Secretary.
  • Paul Lomic, an intellectual property lawyer and founder of Lomic Law, was elected as OBA’s Chair of Professional Development.
  • Katie Di Tomaso, a civil litigation lawyer at Stieber Berlach, was elected as Chair of Sections.

“My path to practicing law in Canada has shaped my belief in the importance of opportunity, community and service,” said Seddigh. “In my new leadership role, I hope to support the profession in a world of exponential change – to ensure that we are able to thrive as technology increasingly disrupts our sector, that we are able to build a strong community in an increasingly polarized society, and that we are equipped to protect the rule of law as it comes increasingly under threat around the world.

The OBA Board of Directors also includes regional leads from all eight judicial regions in Ontario. Elections for those roles will take place in June.
