OBA Insolvency Law Section Awards

The Ontario Bar Association recognizes excellence in insolvency law through two awards. The Michael MacNaughton Student Writing Award encourages law students to contribute to the field, while the Murray Klein Award for Excellence honors insolvency and restructuring lawyers for their integrity, decency, and dedication to the profession.

OBA Murray Klein Award for Excellence in Insolvency Law

This prestigious award was established to recognize Ontario insolvency and restructuring lawyers for their combined and consistently demonstrated integrity, decency and selflessness in their approach to professional practice.

Michael MacNaughton Student Writing Award for Insolvency Law

The Award was created to encourage law students who are CBA/OBA Members who are pursuing a J.D. degree at an Ontario law school or registered as a student-at-law member of the Law Society of Ontario to prepare a written submission.
