On November 20, 2025—National Child Day—join your colleagues in-person at the OBA Conference Centre in Toronto for a networking event celebrating Mary Birdsell, Executive Director of Justice for Children and Youth, as she receives the inaugural OBA Award of Excellence in Child and Youth Law.
On November 26, 2025, join us and our Immigration section colleagues for an online program about navigating immigration matters involving children and youth. The program will cover topics and tips to help ensure children’s interests and rights are respected even in the most complex of cases.
On December 8, 2025, spend the morning learning with experienced faculty from the bar and the bench about the intricacies of advocacy in child protection matters. With demonstrations of first appearance to motions and beyond, this program is for anyone who wants to learn more about practicing in child protection, who is just starting out, or who might appreciate some fine-tuning for their existing advocacy.
