Responsibilities of Regional Lead | Ontario Bar Association

Regional Leads shall
1. Serve as a Council Member;
2. Attend meetings of Council;
3. Convene and chair a virtual meeting of all Council Members in their Electoral District
4. no fewer than 5 times per year;
5. Sit as an ex officio voting member of the Board and fulfil the duties of a director;
6. Act as Council and Board lead for the initiatives of the OBA in their Electoral District;
  1. Prospective future leaders of the OBA; and
  2. Association Members and Association Law School Student Members who are deserving of recognition in the Regional Lead’s Electoral District;
7. Provide to the Board each month a report on the:
  1. Justice Sector Issues of importance in their Electoral District;
  2. OBA events in their Electoral District;
  3. Opportunities for the OBA in their Electoral District;
  4. The status of OBA flagship events in their Electoral District; and
  5. OBA products and services that would be beneficial to their Electoral District.
